The Burning
I had heard noises outside and saw light bounce off neighboring buildings. I have become slightly fascinated with sitting at my window and observing the little things that happen outside, after all staring through the window is what got me interested in that women I saw recently and other places like the bars just make you want to pity those who go in them looking for something that doesn't exist there like a level headed young women wearing a red dress and blue boots. I felt the urge to go out for a run and so I did. I jogged through the shanty town down the back street and turned onto Navajo road. As I jogged I took time to observe everything and I even saw an aesthetically pleasing women near Jorri Rae's diner. I contemplated stopping to start walking as I neared her, I did. I wonder why she had been there or rather if she had been there with anyone. I crossed the streets and noticed that I was in a mild sweat, but not sweating enough to be repulsive to anyone. After walking up to her It was clear that she was pretty but then again I hadn't paid enough attention to the women around to compare her with. I introduced myself. She had a sorta suprised look on her face as though I wouldn't normally talk to her. She politely responded and I invited her to sit down with me in the diner near a window. I prefer a window seat in diners, it's kinda a given really when you go to a diner. Things were going smoothly I asked if she wanted to walk and talk with me the diner scene got to typical for me. Lauryn said yes and so we left and crossed Mercy Road onto the other side and were chatting. I asked her what was there to do around here and before I could get an answer my attention was diverted to the very origin from which the light had bounced across the walls earlier. I asked if she wanted to check it out.
